Community & Partnerships Lead

Full-time · Nairobi (on the ground)

Our learners will not come from ad campaigns — they will come from people: a classmate who finished AI Foundations, a career office that recommends us, a WhatsApp group that keeps a cohort going. You will build that human engine: campus ambassadors, university partnerships, and learning communities across Kenya.

What you will do

  • Build and run the campus ambassador network across Kenyan universities and colleges — recruit, train, equip, celebrate.
  • Own our WhatsApp learning communities: the gated course groups today, structured learning cohorts tomorrow.
  • Land university and TVET partnerships that put Hekima AI in front of entire student bodies.
  • Run scrappy, high-energy events: campus demos, career-office sessions, AI-literacy days.
  • Be the voice of learners inside the company — what they struggle with, what they love, what they need next.
  • Lay the groundwork for the B2B and government pipeline: counties, employers, and institutions that will buy at scale.

What we are looking for

  • 3+ years in community building, partnerships, business development, or student-facing roles in Kenya.
  • A community, program, or partnership you grew — with numbers you can show us.
  • Excellent communication in both English and Kiswahili, written and on stage.
  • Equally comfortable in a campus lecture hall, a WhatsApp group of 200, and a dean’s office.
  • Organised by default: pipelines, follow-ups, and reporting that happen without being chased.

Nice to have (not required)

  • An existing network in Kenyan universities or career offices.
  • Ed-tech, NGO, or youth-program experience.
  • Content and social-media instincts — you can make a campus event travel online.
  • Experience managing WhatsApp communities at scale.

What we offer

  • A founding seat: meaningful equity plus a salary calibrated to our stage — discussed openly in the first conversation.
  • Ownership of how a national learning movement gets built, campus by campus.
  • Direct, daily impact on learners you will meet face to face.

How to apply

Email your CV and a short cover letter to jobs@hekima-ai.org with the subject line “Application: Community & Partnerships Lead — your name”.

In the cover letter, tell us two things in plain words: why this mission matters to you, and the most impressive thing you have built or grown. We read every application personally.
