Submit Your Capstone Project
Open Rafiki (the AI tutor in this app), or any AI chat tool you have been using during this course. You will also need your notes from Lessons 2 and 3 of this unit — your toolkit goals, your prompt library entry, and your teach-forward explanation. This final exercise ties everything together.
This is your capstone — the final project that proves, to yourself and to anyone who asks, that you have genuinely learned how to use AI as a practical tool in your everyday life. You are not just completing a course. You are building evidence of a real skill.
What Your Capstone Project Is
Your capstone project is a short, structured document — it can be written in a notes app, a WhatsApp message to yourself, a Google Doc, or on paper. It has four short sections. Together they tell the story of who you are, what you have learned, and how you plan to use AI going forward. Think of it as a one-page personal AI profile that you could show to a future employer, a teacher, or a mentor.
Step 1 — Write Your AI Origin Statement
In 3 to 5 sentences, answer these questions honestly:
'Before this course, what did I think AI was? What was I afraid of or confused about?'
'What is the single most useful thing I have learned, and why does it matter to my specific life?'
Write your answer in your own words — do not ask AI to write this section for you. This is the most personal part of your submission and should sound like you.
Step 2 — Show One Real Output
Choose one thing you have created with AI help during this course. This could be:
- A CV or cover letter you drafted for a real job in Kenya
- A business idea summary or market research brief
- A study guide or set of practice exam questions on a real topic
- A professional email you wrote and sent (or plan to send)
- A prompt you developed that consistently gives you useful results
Copy this output into your capstone document. Underneath it, write 2 sentences explaining what you were trying to achieve and how AI helped you get there faster or better than you could have alone.
Your capstone is not a test of how impressive your AI output looks. It is a demonstration that you know how to use AI as a tool — which means you also know when to edit it, question it, and improve it. If the AI gave you something that was partly wrong and you fixed it, say so. That is a sign of real skill, not weakness.
Step 3 — Paste Your Toolkit Summary
From Lesson 2, copy your three goals and at least one prompt library entry into your capstone document. Add one sentence for each goal explaining how you specifically plan to use AI to help you reach it.
Goal: Get a customer service job at a Nairobi company within three months.
AI Plan: I will use AI every week to research the company before applying, tailor my CV bullet points for each specific role, and practice interview questions so I arrive prepared and confident.
Step 4 — Write Your Teach-Forward Paragraph
From Lesson 3, paste your teach-forward explanation — the concept you chose to explain in plain language with a Kenya example. This shows that you have understood the material deeply enough to pass it on.
Step 5 — Submit or Save
- Submit via the app: Use the submission button below to send your capstone to Hekima AI. You will receive feedback from Rafiki and, once reviewed, your completion certificate.
- Save for yourself: If you prefer to keep it private, save it somewhere you will not lose it — your Google Drive, your WhatsApp saved messages, or printed out. This document is evidence of your learning and worth keeping.
You started this course as someone who wanted to understand AI. You are finishing it as someone who uses AI — practically, critically, and responsibly. That is the difference between knowing about a tool and actually owning it. Whatever comes next — a new job, a growing business, continued studies, or teaching someone else — you carry this skill with you. Hongera sana. You have earned this.
Your Hekima AI certificate in AI Foundations is a credential you can add to your CV, your LinkedIn profile, and your job applications right now. Look out for the next track — AI for Job Seekers — which goes deeper into using AI for the full job search process, salary negotiation, freelancing, and building a professional online presence. The journey continues.
Describe your project in detail: what you built, the prompts you used, and what you learned. Rafiki will give you feedback, and your verifiable certificate is issued instantly.
